Older Sister Must Help Syndrome: Torture or Love?

Here is Shay putting a shoe on Gavon this morning. A sister in our ward said, "Look at those curls. You must have spent hours doing her hair." Shay also likes to pick Gavon up whenever she can, (kind of scary) or put a blanket on him.

Gavon got this cute tie, shirt and pants for Christmas and is just starting to fit into it.
I like Gavon's face in this one..."Why me?" Shayden got all these stickers from a disney mail offer and had fun sticking them all over her shirt and then Gavon's.
Lounging on the couch.

Paul and I gave talks this last week in Sacrament meeting. The notes on the couch in the picture above reminded me of it. I spent all week preparing it every time I sat down to nurse on the couch, and then Paul wakes up Sunday morning at 7:30 (Sacrament starts at 9:30) to prepare his and he still gives this great talk. He has this book of ready to give lessons and talks that he prepared a few years ago. He spoke on becoming a saint and I spoke on the powerful spiritual nourishment of the Book of Mormon and how it strengthens your testimony of the living reality of the Son of God. This ward has been so good to be in...amazing people. I will be so sad whenever we move away from this area.

Paul's been at drill this past weekend. It was a Muta 6, so lots of work and I didn't go down with him. Other news:

I have 3 cavities. Sad day! I'm really scared of needles. Dentists are no fun. Paul and Shay are cavity free.

It's been really beautiful foggy weather the past few days and kind of rainy today. The pollution has been pretty bad and I had to stay inside for a few days this week. I went running with Paul at the Sports Academy on one of the "red days" (when the pollution is unhealthy) where he has a membership. I haven't run hard until then and boy oh boy. I'm able to go outside now, though. The other day I got the kids all ready and shut the door before I realized it was locked and I didn't have a key. When I came back after the run I found a way in. The next day I went outside real quick with Gavon on Shay's bedroom floor and Shay in the front room and locked myself out. I was thinking, "Man, I'm the coolest mom in the world." I played with Shayden through the front window until I again, found my way in. It wasn't that long...don't you worry.

Daddy, We're excited for you to come home!

Here's a few videos just for fun. I'm sorry you can't see very well. I didn't realize our house was so dark.

Lately Shayden has been throwing these tantrums where she runs away or even throws herself on the floor like it's the end of the world and cries. I usually just ignore them, the poor girl.

I call this one dead man, dead man.

Cute kids!!

Gotta love those tantrums! Nicole goes off pouting, and says, "You don't like me." or "You don't want me" when you wont give her what she wants. Just think what they could be doing when they are older when they are already doing this? I also wonder where they learn to do all this?

Look at you, you post queen! What cute pictures of the kids. I particularly loved the one with the stickers. You really kept your cool about being locked out...I think I would have been freaking out instead!

The sticker picture is priceless. Big Sisters sure are great helpers when your back is turned. See you soon. I love the sweet little ones, I can't wait to see them.
