Gavon just started to take his diaper off and run to the bathroom yelling, "Pea Pea Pea Pea" In a really high girly voice. He pooped the tiniest tiniest bit after I changed a big diaper just a few days ago, but has never had any other success. He likes to go through all the motions though. I'm not so sure I want to jump into underwear for him right now. I know it would be months of torture, but is there no other way??

you can try pull-ups, or get some potty training underwear along with plastic pants (diaper covers). Then he can start feeling his own wetness but it isn't as messy as straight underwear. I hope he is fast and easy to train! Lee took 8 months. :P good luck!
Some are easy and some are really hard...I hope he is easy for you! I think that if they are showing interest, let them learn...but for me mentally I had to prepare myself for lots of laundry, extra undies and clothing in the car and confindence in them that they could really do it. good luck!!
I haven't potty trained Gaige yet, but I am going to start in the next month. Some really good advise that I have received is to encourage them every time they pee or poop in the toilet even if they had a little accident before they made it to the toilet. Also don't give up once you have started. I don't know how long it will take, but good luck:)
My advice is don't start unless you can stick with it. If you have to take a break, even a small one, it undoes all the work you've done. So, if potty training and a new baby just seems too overwhelming, let it go for a while.
That's been my project for the week. Alexa's doing pretty good, but I think it would have been easier if I had tried when she was showing more interest a few months ago. I was just too sick to put any effort into it then.
Good Luck!
