We're Back!

We made it back from Monticello! It was really fun to see everyone and play. We went to Newspaper Rock and for a 4-wheeling trip to the top of Blue Mountain. There were these really cool flowers at the very top called purple pincushions. They really look like that, huh.

Tina and Jerry's cabin was so cool! After a BBQ at Grandpa Mantz's house, Tina showed us around.

Shayden absolutely loved the 4-wheelers. In the video you can hear her say, "Bye, Mom! See you soon!" That's been her new phrase. Paul would let her drive for a few seconds here or there. She'd push the gas all the way down, and then Paul would gently take her hand off. She thought that was so cool. I freaked out when I would see her go any faster than 5 mph.

We went to Trisa's house a while ago and went to visit Jared's farm in Kanosh.
Jared let us ride in his sweet swather.

Trisa also let us use her little violin for a while. Sweet! Now every time I play she pulls hers out too.

Journal Schmernal

I'm thinking about starting a journal for my kids.

If I were to write today I would say for Shay:

"I rode a horse for the first time today.  I didn't want to get off.  My favorite place to go is the park.  The Oquirrh Mountain Temple was amazing.  I folded my arms as I walked through it with my cousins."

Shay also was running after Crystal's chickens trying to catch them.  "Chicken! Chicken!"  Sooo cute.

For Gavon:

"I rode Aunt Crystal's Old Paint and didn't like it much.  I like to blow bubbles and flash smiles at people.  Watch out, because I spit up.  I learned how to roll over on Easter and sat up on my own on Shays' birthday."
