Open House at Preschool

I took Shayden to her classroom this morning. Gavon had a blast there, and was wearing a bunch of beaded necklaces and some ferry wings. He was so happy playing with their kitchen area, reading books, and building things. Shayden didn't want to leave. Tomorrow's the big day. She will love this year.

Triathlon Buddies

The best part about living where we live is the awesome people we live by. These are the girls that decided to do a triathlon together. Instead of paying the $40 to do the actual race, we chose a Saturday morning to do the course with just us. Awesome people make all the difference in the world.

Canning Days

Yesterday I did 7 quarts salsa, 7 quarts tomatoes, and the day before 7 quarts of peaches. It was lots of hard work, and having to buy the food made it almost not worth it, but nothing really beats home canned peaches. The salsa turned out pretty good too. Paul couldn't stop eating it. Whew, I survived.

It's rainy today. I saw a skunk on my run yesterday, and this morning lighting and thunder made it exciting. Always stuff going on. Paul's about to start school. One more week of summer.

One of my neighbors did a photo shoot with me, but we had tough luck. The kids wouldn't smile, and we barely got these pictures.

Mini Triathalon

My friends and I just did a mini triathalon. They did a 250 m swim, 12 mile bike and then a 5k, but I only did the swim, 9 miles of the biking, and 2 miles of the 5k. It was still way fun and I felt great. Hopefully I'll be able to keep running and biking until I get too big. I hope to post a picture of it if I can.
